EverSeed In Energy

Solar PV Operations Snapshot

Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC):

Greefspan II ("Boikanyo")

EverSeed played a pivotal role in the development of the Greefspan II Solar Power Plant near Douglas, Northern Cape. As a 40% partner in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) consortium, alongside Spanish firms Gransolar Group (GRS) and TSK, EverSeed contributed significantly to the project's successful completion. The 63.2 MWdc photovoltaic plant, which began commercial operations in September 2021, generates approximately 150,000 MWh of clean energy annually — sufficient to power around 20,000 South African households. This initiative not only advances renewable energy adoption but also mitigates environmental impact by preventing the emission of 130,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year.

Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

We have contracted capacity under management of 308 MWdc (258 MWac) across four plants in the Northern Cape and Free State Provinces, South Africa. The four plants are Jasper (75MW), Lesedi (64MW), Letsatsi (64MW) and Boikanyo (55MW).

The O&M tasks are carried out by highly qualified and experienced personnel under the most demanding quality conditions. Given utility-scale and grid connection, performance ratios, performance standards and performance monitoring are mission critical. The IPP demands a minimum of 74% Performance Ratio (PR) with 99% Availability from the O&M.

Services include both remote and on-site monitoring along with preventive and corrective maintenance.
